Joining this Sapa photography and homestay trek, visitors get the dream-worthy Instagram photos on a trek through various of Sapa’s most alluring landscapes. Visitors will be brought to less-touristy places with untouched, spectacular waterfalls, boundless green rice paddy fields in Northern Vietnam. In short, tourists will have the luxury of being able to reflect on their surroundings and learn how to convey the sense of Lao Cai through the nice photos.
Sa Pa – Homestay in Ta Van
In the late afternoon, the tour guide meets you at your hotel in Sapa town or in front of Sapa’s main church. Later, you spend time listening to the short introduction, then you get on the private taxi to Ta Van. This village is the home of both Black Hmong and Giay minority.
Thereafter, upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by a Black Hmong family. You stay at their homestay in this night. After that, you have time to rest and take a hot shower. Then, you are ready for dinner, even more, you can cook meals with the local people.
Note: The trekking distance is about 14km within 5.5 – 6 hours.
Firstly, you enjoy breakfast at the homestay. Thereafter, at 9:30 am, you start trekking on a small path uphill to the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. Coming to this place, you get to admire the panoramic views of Muong Hoa valley. Besides, you also behold the alluring landscape of rice terrace fields as well as to contemplate all of the small villages in the Muong Hoa valley.
Thereafter, you trek downhill to the Giang Ta Chai waterfall. Especially, this waterfall is almost non-touristy. After arriving at this spectacular waterfall, you enjoy the stream’s babble and jungle’s sounds.
After relaxing for a while, you continue to trek to Giang Ta Chai village, the home of the Red Dao minority. Later, the tour guide shows you the difference between three ethnic minorities living here.
When it comes to lunchtime, you walk to Su Pan village and have lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, you trek to Hau Thao, a community of the Black Hmong minority. Along the way, you learn about the Hmong’s unique marriage traditions. Furthermore, you know their building techniques and daily works. Concurrently, you feast your eyes on the stretching rice fields.
Then, you walk straight to the homestay in Ta Van village. After taking a hot bath at the Hmong’s homestay, you get in the car or taxi to return back to Sapa at 2:30 pm. The car drops you off at the Sapa center or your hotel in Sapa.
